do you feel sorry to the people you get hurt?

yeah, I do too immediately if possible. I feel this heavy guilt if I don't apologize. I had this person I hurt bad back in highschool, and been meaning to say sorry ever since. I saw her again last year, and I apologized for drifting off when I was supposed to shout out her test paper's score so that the teacher could grade her. She forgave me and I felt a very heavy burden lifted from my shoulders somehow
