Am i double install my windows??

When i open my laptop, it says tht i need to choose my windows. there are 3 choices -windows xp -windows xp -windows 98 however, only the top is functioning help me please

whenever you want to install windows try to check if there is another operating system in your hard disk try to format C: partition and then do fresh installation aof windows don't forget to backup your data before installation never dump your important data in your system partition.

you must have installed it and not removed it properly. just go to boot.ini and change the settings there and remove the os that you dont use

this is why you installed 3 OS but you have just one remaining. to correct open boot.ini in c:\ edit and delete the other OS names from list.
