I have precious few "real" friends or friends that are truly best friends. I could probably count them on one hand. I do have many friends that I would consider "fake" friends though. Here is how to tell the difference between real and fake friends.
FAKE FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
REAL FRIENDS: are the reason you have no food...
FAKE FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr/Mrs
REAL FRIENDS: Call your parents DAD/MOM
FAKE FRIENDS: bail you out of jail and tell you what you did was wrong
REAL FRIENDS: Would sit next to you sayin 'Damn ... We f---ed up.
FAKE FRIENDS: never see you cry
REAL FRIENDS: cry with you
FAKE FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back
REAL FRIENDS: keep your sh!t so long they forget it's yours
FAKE FRIENDS: know a few things about you
REAL FRIENDS: Could write a book about you with direct quotes from you
FAKE FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing
REAL FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds a$$ that left you
FAKE FRIENDS: Would knock on your front door
REAL FRIENDS: Walk right in and say ' I'M HOME!'
FAKE FRIENDS: Are for awhile
REAL FRIENDS: Are for life
FAKE FRIENDS: will talk sh!t to the person who talks sh!t about you.
REAL FRIENDS: Will knock them the f--k out

thanks for sharing, that is so true in so many ways!!! I have what I call my best friends all whom I have known for more then 15 years, the longest best friend I have is one I have had since I was 2 and she was 4. then I have my friends that we talk every so often and hang out, but they are not ones who I can tell my problems to

I would have to say that is cool. After thinking about it I would have to say That I have 2 real friends, the first one would have to be my wife of 15 years, she could write that whole book, quotes and all. the other is my friend Mike, my friend for 15 years. Actually my wife introduced me to Mike. That's probably why we are all real friends!

tmlnmr that whole post is sooo true LOL!
I can relate to all of them when it comes to me and my friends.
Thanks so much for this good laugh! The one about sitting in jail and saying "dam we f____ed up" is too funny cuz that would be me and my best friend.

Well if I wasn't an honest person I would definitely take the credit for it but sadly I am too honest for that. LOL. I am not sure who wrote it but I could have if I had sat down and thought about it! LOL. Anyway, I hope I am not one of those friends on your two fingers. LOL I always try not to let friends or anyone else down unfortunately it never completely works that way all the time. :) You have a great day as well!

Even though you and your husband are now longer with us, I'm writing this anyway, for somehow I think you will see this.
I think it fitting to post this here on a discussion about friendship...I have replied to a few of your discussions in the past and you did to mine...It's sad to think that you'll respond no more. Its even sadder that we never did add each other to our friends list, why I don't know.
I hope you and your husband are at peace now and feel no more pain.
