hello! increased stress level caused by economic prosperity and modern life style, including unhealthy eating and drinking habits contributed to high blood pressure which ultimately leads to heart problems.change food habits.do meditation and some exercise.attend laughing club dally, laugh loudly .you will find change in mood.see comedy films share joy with children.take medicines regularly to maintain blood pressure.also take a clove of garlic daily in empty stomach with a glass of water.it will greatly help you.

High blood pressure or hypertension is known as the silent killer because it has very few symptoms. However, once diagnosed, it can be easily controlled with the right medicine and some appropriate lifestyle changes.
Foremost would be a change of diet. Diet should be low-fat and low sodium. The most popular is called the DASH diet. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stopping Hypertension. You can research this online. Regular exercise should also be incorporated. If he is overweight, losing weight should be imperative. If he drinks and smokes, he should think about quitting.
As for the medication, he should consult a specialist on it. If his high blood pressure is severe, he will be given a maintenance medicine. If not as bad, he might not need medicine as long as he make the necessary lifestyle changes.
These are just a few changes he can do that can help him control his blood pressure and extend his life. If he cares enough for his kids, this will not be a problem.

Cut back sodium. Also if he is stressed it might help to learn meditation or relaxation techniques.

I am sorry to hear that. The most important thing is to have healthy lifestyle, including enough sleep, healthy diet and regular exercise.Dont eat too salty things and quit smoking, drink less if he does. And also remember to be free from stress.Winter is more dangerous for them cause its easy to trigger stroke. Its a very common diease nowadays and patients can have good life quality if they obey the rules.Dont worry,be happy.
