Having Babies with your Lover

Okay, this may seem like something out of a crazy soap opera, but if your Sim is a romantic type and is having affairs with men other than her husband, will it allow you to have kids with the affairs? Or, does 'Try for Baby' only work with a husband...?
The same goes for men, if your romantic Sim is having affairs, can he go around Trying for Baby with women from other houses?
Also, if the Sims do have a baby that doesn't belong to their spouse, will the spouse freak out and realize your Sim is having an affair?
I'm asking this, of course, because my Sim is romantic type and I kind of want a baby with a different guy...^_^; But... I also don't want to lose my husband.

I am not sure about that but I know one of my soms had a baby but she wasn't married to the guy. They lived together. You know....I gotta try that one now just out of curiosity.lol. I know when one of my sims is fooling around, the mate will come over and slap them and be furious with them for awhile. But one of my guys goals is to have 50 hot dates and its hard to do that without falling in love. So I just have a spare bedroom set up for him when she won't sleep with him because she is mad.lol.

Hot Dates?? I guess that's one of the expansion packs... My romantic sims always want to WooHoo with 5 different Sims and stuff or have 3 loves at once o.o

Its the big goal where it makes your level be platinum(white) all the time. You have to put your cursor over the level indicator to see this goal.

If you are in LOVE with them, then yes. You can have a baby with them. You have to have a 100 on the relationship meter and a big red heart which is the LOVE.

whoa, now that's an idea. I had a sim that's of the romantic type and wanted dates and stuff all the time and i was like finding it hard to keep the spouse from knowing about it. haha. Haven't tried making a baby from other sims though...
Man i miss sims 2!!! I haven't been playing it for months now! or i think it's been a year! Damn.

i played out the affair scenario too. as long as you switch between the two houses (have married one over at the single's house, then go back to the spouse) the spouse usually doesn't find out. they find out when you fool around at the married persons house, or have the spouse over when said fooling around is going on. just make sure that the married couple still spends some time together to keep the marriage strong..... unless you want to break them up lol.

If you want the girl to get pregnant I think both parents have to be in very good moods when they "Woohoo", and of course you need to select Try for Baby instead of the normal choice. If the parents are too tired or hungry, it won't work as well, at least it hasn't for me.

You sure can have babies with a stranger. I do that all of the time to create a more realistic setting. It's funny to have the husband walk in on the act. He goes all ape crazy. I love creating soap opera stories when I'm playing. I've yet to have an alien baby, though. That would make the story seriously twisted.
