What is your cat's best quality?

My cat greets me at the door as I am returning home. It's great because the first thing I get when I come home is a great big 'hug' from my cat! I think this is the best thing my cat does consistently. He's VERY consistent with this.
If I have been outside for 1 minute, just taking the garbage out to the bin, my cat still greets me at the door when I come back inside. He balances on his 'hind', stretches his front paws up to my knees, (like a toddler, stretching arms up, asking, "Pick me up?" haha) and I have to pick him up as I come through the door.
He always starts purring right away - even if I have only been gone to the store for 15 minutes - or, as said already - out for 1 minute to take out the garbage!
After a minute or so, he doesn't mind if I put him down again and do other things, but it's BEST if I just pick him up - or else he will follow me through the apartment, right underfoot until I pick him up and give him that 1 hug he's looking for.
In all, I would say my cat's best quality is his ability to show affection INSTANTLY when I return home. Most cats I have had experience with are really NOT very affectionate. Many don't like to be approached and touched at all, and only allow 'touching' when they are ready, when they decide it's time to approach a person.
Does your cat have any endearing qualities or behaviors?

Hi NewbieHelper that is so adorable. I have 2 of them and when I come home they come running from whatever room they are in to greet me. But they dont hug me like yours does.LOL I take my cats outside at least once a day just to get some fresh air. But I stay with them and its in the back yard. They walk all around and when I walk out to them I clap my hands and they come running like little kids. And then I have to pick them up. and of course kiss them.LOL

I am working on being able to take my cat outside, too. There are a lot of pets on my block to consider though. I will have to have him on a leash 'just in case' he bolts away from me. My yard is open with no contained area, so I'm sure I won't be able to let him wander more freely like you seem to be able to do with your cats.
My cat doesn't require a 'kiss' like yours do. He is very affectionate in other ways though. He likes to be face to face, but prefers a little 'head-butt' instead of a kiss. He will head-butt me on the shoulder or even the cheek if I don't lower my face so that he can head-butt forehead-to-forehead haha.

My cat's best quality is his constant show of affection. He's slowed down just a little now that he's fourteen-years-old, but when he was younger, he would wait for me to go to the bathroom during the wee hours of the morning (like 3:00) and come barging into the bathroom to give me kisses. I always thought he slept with one eye open because he would always wake up when I did, and he was in a room far away from my bedroom.

Or you could look at it another way, Rosepetal...

I will have to say that my cat's best quality is his unconditional love. He loves me even if I forget to hug him the minute I return home. He loves me if I forget to feed him the minute I get up in the mornings. He loves me if I am crying or if I am laughing. He loves me when I have on no makeup and my hair is a mess. He loves me unconditionally, which is more than most humans love each other!

My kitty has this thing about when i am on the computer.the computer is right next to the foot of the bed so while i am on the computer,he will jump up on the foot of the bed and just stare. that is my cue to pick him up .He then lays on my chest and buries his head on hair, lays his head on my shoulder and purrs up a storm. He does'nt do that as often and I really miss it

Awe!
See? Cats can be cuddly, too! Even if they don't choose to be affectionate very often.
