I think it is better to take ayurvedic medicines for common cold.There is no side effects for such medicines compare to allopathic medicines.If any kottakal ayurvedic shala branch is available in your state,then it is better to take medicines from this branch.

when i suffer from common cold, i take citrizen that's an allopathy medicine, another thing i suggest you is that eat lot of vitamin C which is helpful to some extent during common cold.

I use this wonderful powder, that I buy from an Indian pharmacy.....it is called TRIKATU... You make it up into a hot drink....it tastes like sh*t..lol...very peppery...but within seconds you can feel your sinuses popping & clearing out... You need a handkerchief handy, as your nose will run like a tap, but the relief is worth it.... It is cheap to buy, & a bag will last you for a long time...I have some that is now two years old, & it still hasnt lost its strength....GREAT STUFF!
