Great now my cat Molly can open the door. I have 2 doors a front door and a side door from my kitchen and I have been keeping the door open for light So its just a glass stormdoor which I love. So Im typing away and I hear the door open so I thought oh my husband must have come home early. I get up to see him and no one is there. I look outside and there is Molly outside. I had to bring her in smack her little butt and now I must lock the screen door. What a little brat. She has never attempted this before. She is acting like a person.hahahahah Well at least Maggie isnt doing that.LOL

I had to change my door handles, because both my cats were constantly opening the doors, I couldnt keep them locked in a room. I have a couple of cavity sliding door, which they just rip open and normal doors with handles, which they would jump up and open..I had to put knobs on them now...Arnt they smart little things.

You think that's bad, my Fluffy will open the bathroom door if it isn't closed tightly. I don't mind when I'm in there, but when I have guests over the house and they're using the bathroom -- well -- that's another story.

Molly what has gotten into you? LOL Sounds like she is too smart for her own good..it is amazing what they can do when they want something bad enough...my cats used to all sorts of goofy things..they were all indoor cats but Shrek would manage to get out one way or another..He even climbed out of the hole cut for the dryer vent that was not in use. I saw him outside and for the world I could not figure out how he got out..finally I figured it out..sneaky little devil....makes for an interesting day..

Our front porch door is pretty heavy, but it doesn't have a latch. It can just be pushed open. If my real big fat cat lays agaisnt it, sometimes it will open a wee bit. Luckily, it's not a big enough opening for him to get out. Now if all 3 of my cats charged the door, that might open it. Thank goodness that has never happened before! Like you though, I like to leave my inside door open so that the light shines thru the porch door glass.

Cats are such cute things, we have 8 cats at home and they are all over the place, on the tv, in bed with little sister and little brother adn some chasing chicks outside. Wee, but I just love them, climbing all over the living room paying with the broom and opening doors. Its just wht makes thme busy so I just let them be, Im glad im not always at home, coz sometimes I lose my patience with them, one time mother saw one cat flying from our front door to our lawn. LOL it was me, i threw the innocen cat.

i know this feeling two of my cats and my dog are constantly opening the doors. At night they stay in the kitchen and to stop them all coming upstairs and pounding ontop of us i have to push the settee up to the door lol.

Cats are sneaky, that's for sure. My housecats, sit by the door and sneak out every time they get the chance. Sometimes, they won't be anywhere in sight, and I'll open the door, and they beat me out. My bedroom door son't latch completely, and every evening, when I come home from work, my cocker spaniel, runs and opens it for me. He knows, I always go in there first and put my purse in, and change my clothes. lol Dogs and cats, gotta love them!
