I like anwering questions that involves brain, that is, the ones requiring your IQ, for say, puzzles, or questions from maths, etc. I like like solving such questions and thus responding such questions. This keeps the brain active and working better. From research, its known that Puzzles and brain-teasers are one good way to keep our neurons in shape. (http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2002/06/02/LV204873.DTL) I want to involve my brains also when I am here at mylot, coz most of the discussions we have here involves or heart, so we should have some more questions involving brains. That would bring a change. Isnt it? What do you say about that?

I like a balance of both brain & heart because what my thinking is dat a person who is heartless is not a complete human & a person who uses only & only heart is not going to take practical approach in life so use of brain is also important & as mylotting is now part of our life so philosphy of life also applies to answering questions on mylot....

very true holyfriend. we should always have a balance between our mind and heart. The decisions we take should include the both.

Thats right! But I honour others views. Everyone does not have same views and we should understand others views also.

I understand what you mean, my reasons for going to myLot is to relax from the hectic day and wouldn't want anything too deep into thinking because I've been doing that a lot. I'd like something that doesn't involve too much thinking without become shallow. But there are times when shallow is good too. hehehe By the way, here's a joke about brains: In the Hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber. "I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he said, as he surveyed the worried faces. "The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, semi-risky and you will have to pay for the brain yourselves." The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded, $5,000 for a male brain, and $1,000 for a female brain." The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man, unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the male brain so much more?" The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and so to the entire group said, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've been used!" =) don't use your brain too much, maybe you'll have a lesser priced brain soon. *LOL*

I agree with you that puzzles, teasers, solving maths do help us in sharpening our brain...and given the chance, it must be done. Here on mylot, we do not use our brain in the manner, you have mentioned. Good post!

It's really interesting to answer questions on IQ. But in mylot we are involved in some enjoying posting. That's why some simple typical IQ questions will be much easier to respond.

I would prefer to answer questions involving my brain more so than involving my heart because the heart is personal whereas the brain is not. I'm not a big fan of answering the personal questions. The thought provoking questions on what would you do if... or what do believe in or this or that? I answer those questions sometimes and to an extent but usually I prefer not to. The two subjects I typically always stray away from are Politics and Religion in which I believe are also questions of the heart (though it seems weird to put heart and politics in the same sentence ha ha) But questions of the brain aren't personal. They just require a little thought and a little research and a little smarts. I'm all for putting my opinions out there, but opinions are sometimes worth a dime a dozen. The problem with "brain" type questions is that if there is only a yes or no answer or a right or wrong answer you can't get many people to answer right? I mean if someone already answered the question right who else is going to answer and how can you make your answer any better than the others who have already went and answered right. So the questions involving the brain need more than just a right or wrong answer.

Well I like puzzles too.But the idea is to know more about the people and their hearts here.It is quite interesting how people from different parts of the world look at the things in life differently. Though you have read and seen it is something to become friends with them and get the stories from their mouth itself.I like this unselfish interaction here.
