I'm from a Catholic's family and my husband is from a Christian's family.
When I decide want to baptism my daughter as a Catholic, my mother in-law not allow. She want me baptism my daughter as a Christian. My mother in-law give me a lots commend about my religion.
I explain to her - The reason why I want to baptism my daughter as a Catholic is because I'm from Catholic's family when I was born. I also want my daughter follow me, easy me teach her about religion. You cannot ask me baptism my daughter as a Christian and teach her with the things that I also not understand. Althought, Catholic and Christian are believe GOD - Jesus. Myself cannot accept the way you pray, how am I going to teach my daughter.
I everyday pray hope GOD listen to me, help me open my mother in-law ears listen to me. My daughter now already 10mths old. I want to baptism her before she 1year old.
If can, I hope you can pray for me. Thanks.

My husband and I are from different religious. He's Catholic and I am Christain. The thing is you're both Christian since you both believe in Jesus Christ. We don't fight about what religion we will babtize our children, since we talked about it and decided they would choose when they grow up. That might be your best choice. We as Christians can not and should not be judgemental of other people's religious beliefs.

Maybe you come from free thinking country. At our country, parent have to decide their children's religion exspecially those come from Catholic's family when they was born. Me and my father have stubborn thinking - we are from Catholic's family when we born, we have to bring up our children and baptism them as a Catholic.

First I would like to ask you why do you say Catholic or Christian baptism. I know the difference between Protestant and Catholic, but are they not both Christian. Look I am Evangelical, I understand the difference between us all, but are we not all Christians. You could tell your mother-in-law that. You could always tell her to but out of your life. I mean apparently both you and your husband what your daughter to be baptised as a Catholic.
