An interesting fact about fishes......believe it or not!!!

Yes my friends believe it or not but several species of fishes on this plane have a memory of 5 seconds to 1 minute. After that, they find themselves to be in a new place because they forget everything....lol.....i just saw it on discovery channel and found it interesting. By the way, i was thinking what would happen if humans were also like that??

That reminds me of the Drew Barrymore movie where she forgets everything when she falls asleep. If we had that kind of memory, I think the 3M / Post-It company would be the richest company in the world because we'd have to Post Note everything!

I have heard this before, but I don't know that I believe it. Its probably true, but I now with our fish if my husband or I came up to the tank they think they are getting fed, but if kids do or other adults do they don't think that at all...they just swim around and ignore them. I think they have some kind of memory, what kind exactly I don't know...

Hmmm....you are right.....this even happens at my place. But dont know...according to the channel fishes have less capacity of memory. Well think it this way that they never get bored living in the same tank. They keep on exploring things as if they are new to the place.

That sounds interesting if humans were like this we would be in a lot of trouble. I will have to remember this the next time I feed my fish.

lol.......yeah......its because of this reason the fishes in our tank never get bored of living there. After every 6th or 7 th second they find that they are new to the place. They even forget that they have just eaten and thus they sometime even die because of over eating.

if you have seen FINDING NEMO, dorothy - the fish who helped the father of NEMO in finding him is just exactly like that. its funny and I LOVE IT!

If human memory is akin to that of fishes ,everything get lop-sided. it is the capacity to remember that keeps man apart from other living beings . Everything about man is dependent on his ability to remember and recall when demanded.
