Where do you prefer to stay when you go on vacation?

Do you like to stay at Bed and Breakfasts, hotels, rental houses, camp sites, etc? Here lately everytime we've gone on vacation we always go to Florida to see my mom. We always end up staying with her. But this year it looks like we are just going to take a short weekend vacation so we aren't going to be able to make it all the way down to Florida. I've been thinking about maybe going over to Savannah Georgia. I've never been there and always wanted to go. But I'm not sure what kind of place to look for to stay out. I don't know if we should just get a hotel, bed and breakfast or what. I've been doing my research and some of the bed and breakfast places are pretty cheap and look nice so we may go that route. So where do you prefer to stay when you are on vacation?

When I go to some hill stations for my vacation, I prefer to stay in some hotels near the beautiful sceneries. I always ensure that I stay at some quality place, without minding the cost of the stay. Because I believe the place where we stay during the vacation trip will carryover the mood of the vacation.

when you want a nice vacation, make sure you know what you really like.. everyone has different opinions.. example, for me, i like it in the mountains camping with nothing but tent and some food.. for me, it is cool and it is nice to keep in touch with nature once in a while.. now, you decide, what type of vacation do you really like?

Usually when we go on vacation, we just stay with family, too. We spend one night in a hotel on the way there, and another night in a hotel on the way back. The rest of the time we just stay with family. Even if we were to go on a vacation and not just see family, we would probably still just use a hotel. My husband likes to sleep late when he's off work, so a bed and breakfast would be kind of pointless for us. We would most likely miss breakfast everyday anyway.

I always stay at nice hotels. I have never stayed at a B&B. Never would do camp sites as I don't like to sleep outside. Rental houses would be nice if I could afford it. I would like to one day stay at a rental house on the shores of North Carolina. Think that would be awesome. I have stayed in a cabin with my ex husband on our honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, TN and that was really cool.

We've thought about taking a weekend to Pigeon Forge. But since it's just 45 minutes away we can go there anytime. So we are going to opt for the beach this time.

I like to stay in the hotel, motel is also good but I just scare. I used to have some bad issues with motel thing. I dont want to say cuz it might scare you. Just keep valuable things with you all the time. hey, vacation is also sound good to me... but I can't take one now cuz working. I took twice last year and now i have to make up. About bed and breakfast, I never try that before... how is that? it is like a motel too or what? im sorry, i am so new to this.

Since I've never stayed in a bed and breakfast I'm not really sure how to accurately describe it. So I'll let wikipedia tell you about it lol. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed_and_breakfast

I prefer sleeping in my own bed in my own house. If I can't I would rather stay in a hotel where someone else does the cooking, cleaning and making of beds. If I'm on vacation then I am ON VACATION! The only vacation we ever get to take is to my in-laws. We have to stay in their house where the bedroom is three feet from the kitchen. Once one person is up (7am) the whole house is up. That is not a vacation. Last time I went I swore I wasn't going to wash a dish, but we were staying at the brother-in-law's instead of the mother-in-law's and his father-in-law passed away the day after we arrived so I did end out helping out at THAT house. I have never been to a Bed and Breakfast. They sound appealing if it was just a weekend away for me and my husband. But when it comes to going away with the kids, I prefer a hotel. We had a hotel and Florida and in Niagara Falls. The only downfall is my husband and I had no privacy as we were all in one room. But that's what a family vacation is all about, isn't it? The key word is vacation. I am never on vacation when I am at home so when I go away I want to be on vacation and do nothing that I HAVE to do here. Take the hotel.

We just love to stay in self-catering units or something like a holiday flat. b and bs are great but most are just rooms with en suite bathrooms. i like the luxuries of having a small sitting room. why dont you break your stays into groups. i dont know how long you will be there, but book at 3 different places. then you will know next time. i love camping but the clutter is too much.

The whole family doesn't have any vacation because I have work...but my kids will spend their vacation with their grand grandmother where the place is near the beach...they love beach so much and for them it's a perfect vacation.
