How concerned are you about terrorism?

With the world in such a mess, are you concerned about terrorism? Do you still fly, take trains or do you have an alternative plan for travel?

I am slightly concerned, not that much. From what we went through at the airport when we went on our cruise, I doubt any terrorist could get through. Why they searched my husband, and he was born Mennonite. I guess they have no idea of distinguishing between European type men with dark hair, beige to olive skin, and brown eyes, and Arabic type men. I mean they are supposed to. I will still fly, take trains if I can get a ride on a nice luxury train like the Orient Express.

I think terrorism had increased very much since I was a teenager. When I was 18 I worked in London and the IRA were responsible for many bombs. I used to catch fast train to Victoria or a slow train to Blackfriars. One morning I was annoyed that I had missed the fast train and got the slightly later slow train. Later that day I heard the sad news that a bomb had gone off at Victoria. I am glad I had not caught that earlier faster train! I went to Israel and noticed how understandably how concerned they are for bombs. There was hand bag hung in a tree when I was getting off a bus outside Tel Aviv bus station. There was some shouting and the bus drove off very quickly. People thought there was a bomb in the hand bag. What a scary moment! I still travel and hope that I will never be affected by terrorism. It was a really terrible thing to happen in New York on 9/11. I wish the world could become a peaceful place.
