How can I get my son to talk to me with respect without him talking back to me? He is 11 years old and he thinks he knows everything. And how can I get him to keep his hands to himself? He likes to hit his younger brother and sister. What should I do? He is not a bad kid he just has his momments.

Well you are the parent , but if it was my child they would be spending a very lond amd lonley summer with no friends, no t.v no internet, no nothing but sitting in there room untill they could speak to me with respect.
Maby a change of friends? I know that kids will try to get away with whatever they can but only if you allow it.

Yeah but what do you do with kids that just dont care? I feel like sometimes they dont care and can sit in that room, destroying whatever is in there. Honestly some kids need to get beat.

Yea, but what will that do. Nothing especailly if you have a hard headed child. So kids need tough love.

We've been going thru the same thing with our 12 year old daughter. She has a comment for everything, and the last few months she seems to push or hit at her brother more. Everyone "annoys" her, and when I have tried to get her to do something I get "I'm tired of you Yakking at me". I told her the other day I didn't want to hear the word "yakking" out of her mouth again. Hopefully this is just a stage, but it has lasted about a year now. So good luck!

Aww yeah that is hard. My mom use to tell me, when i have kids she hopes they give me back the same crap! And that use to make me think. then i started to be better in hopes that my kids dont give me a hard time! But i am sure she wont understand quite yet! Usually i have to tell my nephews to bring it in and to think how i feel! I hate having to say stuff more than once to them!
