I would say 14 yrs old, because i don't think it's fair to do possible nerve damage to someone without their permission.

14 years old is kinda too far.I think its better to be done as a baby.Ear rings are very cool on girls. It makes them look very cute

I think it really depends on what you want for your child. I know people who have gotten done as soon as they were born. While others waited. My daughter is 6 yrs old and I haven't gotten her ears pierced yet. I wanted to get it done when she was a baby. Hubby said no. I wish I would of wnt and gotten it done anyways. Now I don't feel she is mature enough to handle pierced ears. So I am waiting til I feel she can take care of things better. I just now let my 16 yr old son get his ears pierced.

I got my daughter ears pierced when she was 6 months old and yes she cried for the first couple minutes after it was done and then she stopped. I got it done when she was younger because I didnt want her to realize she had earrings on and try to pull them off. She is now 4 years old and she doesnt play with her earrings and her ears are fine..nothing wrong with them.
