I got a kick out of Bones being in Las Vegas in a rerun last night. At a blackjack table, without knowing anything about the game, she had figured out how to count cards and be very good at it in just a few minutes. She didn't know the casino considered it cheating and she didn't understand how they could. I really like her character.

Hello stealthy,
I really enjoy her character too. She's so savvy and intelligent and yet so vulnerable and naive at the same time. The entire cast is a pretty ecelectic group. I guess maybe the old saying is true...... there's a fine line between genius and insanity!!

I've known a few geniuses and it is like most people some are just like anyone else and some are a little different. I don't thing I would call any of the regular characters on the show insane. Bones, of course, because of her feelings of abandonment has sealed her feelings off and retreated into intellect, but she is still capable of relationships on a certain level.

I like the way her character is developing. Just when you think you've got a pretty good idea of how she'll react to a certain situation they throw you a curve. For instance, I didn't expect her to sail away with Sully, but part of me really wanted her to! Do you think the tension between Bones and Booth will ever go anywhere? And if it does, how will that impact the show as a whole?
In hindsight, the genius/insanity reference wasn't the best. I was trying to get more at how quirky (which often equates to more interesting), brilliant people can be.
