DESTINY or FREE WILL, which do you believe in?

Before, I used to believe in that since we were given the gift of free will, it is therefore safe to say that there's no such thing as destiny for when we speak of destiny, it means that something is planned ahead and whatever we do, it just won't matter for the outcome is already pre-determined. With this, this negates or invalidates the use of free will
However, just recently, after giving it much thought, I realized that DESTINY and FREE WILL may actually go hand in hand in the sense that, we might have our destiny and that the right choices we make may lead us to that destiny and the wrong ones will drift us away from it, resulting to sorrow, misery, problems.
How bout you, what do you think?=)

Hey, nice topic..
I actually agree with you, destiny and free-will go hand in hand...
If we thought that it is only about destiny we'll all stop doing anything new in our lives, we'll just sit down and wait for our destiny to come. yet if we thought it's only free-will we will blame ourselves for any failure that happens with us, we'll live a miserable life each time we face something that we didn't want it to happen.
Plus I think sometimes, even when bad things happen if we just wait and give it sometime we'll find out that this bad thing is one of the best things that happened to us ever because it's our destiny..

Have you seen the movie minority report? I very much like it. There are really things that are bound to happen. There are things where you have to make a decision. It would be destiny if we let it happen. But we can always choose. We are destined to become something if we want to. But before reaching that we have to choose.
I have to agree with you. Destiny and free will may go hand in hand.

I agree that destiny go hand in hand with free will....
Destiny couldn't stand alone.. if that happens then all people would just set by and wait for destiny to happen.. anyway whether you do something or do nothing you are destined to be like that.
Destiny is how you make it. You decide for your own destiny..
In every opportunity that comes your way and in every decisions that you make, you are already shaping your own destiny..
