I'm trying to play with cubase and I was wondering how do I record with my guitar? I'm hoping to find a way that also sounds good... and hopefully cheap..?

what kind of guitar you want to record with your cubase? if it's acoustic then you have to plug a microphone into your line-in input(soundcard) and then place the mic near into your acoustic guitar sound hole and then start recording..if it's electric guitar and if you have an amplifier then place the mic near the amp speaker but if you don't have the amp then you can still plug your guitar chord into your line-in(you need to have a jack converter)...also you can enhance the quality of the record with an amp simulation plug-ins like amplitube..
