mining and smithing vs fishing and cooking vs pking vs merchanting/trading

This all really depends on whether or not you are a member in the game. If you are, then, make sure you gain a small amount of money for a start, and at least have either 25 herblore, or 38 (for even more). Go to the seers bank, west of camelot, and start saying you will buy all unidentified herbs 1k per. Keep doing this until your money is gone. Pick 1 herb out of each stack, and identify them all, until you find the stack that contains ranarr weeds. Only idenitify the ranarr stack, no more. Put The ranarrs to the side, take all the other unidentified herbs, and find someone to buy them off of you, for 1k per. Now, if you only have 25 herblore, sell off the ranarrs for 7k per, 8k if you get lucky. If you have 38 herblore, make them into prayer pots, and you may have to ask around, I am not too sure myself, but a specific world in members, you can sell them in edgeville for 9k per (3 doses) and 12k per (4 doses). This is a very easy way to make profit, as within a day, I started off with 275k, and at the end of my time ended up with a good 2.3mil. As for non-members, woodcutting, mining (no smithing), or fishing/cooking are the ways to go. As for woodcutters, at high levels, yew trees can be cut down with the most of ease. And if you ever upgrade to member status, magic trees will always be waiting, worth a good 900-1.1k per. Miners can mine mithril, adamantite, and runite ore, all worth a very large amount of money. (Mith, Around 500. Adamantite, 900. Runite, I think 8-10k.) Fishing is simply nice, since so many people buy large amounts of cooked/uncooked things. Just keep all of those in mind.

I'd say mining and smithing

I find pking to be a waste of time. The people out there pking aren't carrying anything they aren't willing to risk ( so its not worth much ). So whats the point? I can do far better using my time working on skills or killing monsters that might drop something good. As for making money, I don't worry about it. With my skills I can pretty much either make or gather whatever I need.

id say mining and smithing bring in most of the cash.fishing and cooking still bring in somewhat of a profit.still..i think if your good in all of them.you can make an equal amount of cash during your play time.

i agree with you to me mining is my favorite its a easy way of making money especially at higher levels i have level 73 mining almost 74 i hate pking cause people always teleport before they die u can never win it seems like

Fishing and cooking are the 2 ones that I use. They're quite fast to level up and require little grinding. A single cooked lobster sells for around 250gp, so it's pretty effective.

well depends when u get to some lvl like mining is almost hard when u cannot enter the guild but its worth paying and then mining becomes really well when u are able to get into the guild so when it becomes hard to mine i just switch to fishing and sell lobsters so either way i like both the skills and about pking i dont like it that much cause i dont get much kills.

merchanting and trading is the best out of this list but there are certain monsters you can face that give you good stuffthat is worth alot... trust me i know.

i prefer mining and smithing cause when u mine and smith mith,addy and rune u can make a lot of money by using high alchememy or selling them also i really like the skill mage for teleporting and lots of stuff like that

I think that to begin with in RS, you have to spend money in order to make it. Mining/Smithing has been the most effective for me, as well as having bought myself a Ring of Wealth and killing monsters with good drops. I can get up to 10 ranarrs (seeds) per bag of food (that's my record so far, which sell for 7, maybe 8k. I made myself 500k in my first 2 weeks of playing the game, in ftp.

I normally either mine/smith or fish/cook.I don't like to keep doing the same thing for too long so i keep switching between the two. I have also tried merchanting but i'm not very good at it. I have the same problem with pking. Whenever I'm almost killing someone they teleort. It's really frustrating.
