We used 2 have a lovely male-cat, everybody in the family loved him. Everyday, he spends part of his time at home and part outside, at nite he sleeps somewhere near the back yard. One day he took his morning meal, went out 2 play in our back yard but never made it back. We asked our neighbours, they never saw him, I did make a thorough search on the streets but no trace or whatsoever of him dead or alive.
The Question is: If he isn't dead yet, could he one day find his way home after all this time ?????

Yes its true that both dogs and cats can easily find their way home picking up their master's home's scent and track their way home, i somehow tested it ... well not really tested, i had a male cat who was with us for like only 1 month or so but then it annoyed most of our family members like eating stuff that it wasn't allowed to and other stuff, so we left the cat to a place some 20 kilmetres away and then it made it way back again to our house in 2 days, lol was my family annoyed again and dropped it somewhere really far, then it didnt came back, i hope your cat comes back cause i know how attached we are to our pets so don't lose hope and keep searching, cya.

i think so.coz i read that cats can find their way to home even if they are like kilometres away from home.but if its oversea(which is very rarely to happen),then there might be a problem with returnign home.and i hope it comes abck to you.

Overseas? I don't think he's gone that far :D but I believe as you said if he is a few kilometers away, he may make it back but if he is in a remote place right now, probably he won't make it back. I guess it was stolen. Thanks for the response.

Hi there my friend, I'm so sorry to hear he is missing. If nothing happened to him, he will be back. Cats are prone to wander a bit but they will never get 'lost' and not find their home back. In that way they are better than dogs to find their way home. Hope he will be back soon!

We used to have a house infested with CATS. They were a total of 9, mom - rip- loved them. When she wanted to get rid of one the maughty males, she used soak a piece of cloth with gas and rub his nose with it before taking him out on a ride and letting him go.
They used to go out and disappear for like WEEKS and if no one stole them or killed them they always returned. Cats have a good sense of smell. They always come back.
I bet your's was stolen my friend. Happens a lot here. what was it's name?
