email Notifications

I noticed last night that there are a lot of discussions by my friends that I have not received email notification for! This came to light in a discussion by one of my friends where I was lost at some of the responses until another friend redirected me to another one of their discussions! I rely on email notifications but I think now that this may have been a mistake as I have obviously missed quite a few discussions! Has anyone else had this problem or have you noticed it! Maybe you should take a little look at your friends recent discussions to see if you have missed any! To all those friends who think I am ignoring them - I am not and I am sorry , I will try and catch up with your discussions as soon as I can! xxxx

I try to respond to all my friends discussions whenever I can, even though sometimes I don't have the time to sit at the computer for a long time. I feel frustrated, too, when I feel that I am letting my friends on here down by not having the time to respond to all their discussions. Please forgive me if I have missed any :-)

Sweetheart there is absolutely no forgiveness needed! You are a loyal friend and a fantastic mylotter! It is always good to see you and when you can't make it along that is fine - we know you can't be here 24/7! Hugs honey - don't you dare feel bad! xxx

I haven't noticed that but I am going to try and look around a little and see if that has been happening too - such a pity really as the email notification was so much easier! Hope you are ok Angel, will have to go for a while soon - we have to get the kids organised to go to my sisters , they are going a day early now and we aren't organised! lol xxx

Yes, I've had a few notifications but by no means all of them... this one included. lol.
I tend to get stuck in my e-mail for quite a while and have only received four notifications, three of those from the same account, and that's since yesterday. I guess it'll right itself and it's just a technical hitch... perhaps on update today.

I'm about 3 - 4 days behind. Yesterday I found a discussion from a friend saying they were leaving. It was written several days ago so I checked their profile to ascertain if they were still responding theo their last post. I noticed several discussions, reent ones, which I hadn't rec'd an alert for.
When I don't get email alerts, I assume that person is away or no longer active....now I'm wondering if I'm not getting the alert.

I know exactly where you are coming from honey - I started a post a few hours after this saying I had found TONS of notifications in my spam/bulk folder! I marked every single one as not spam and now they don't go in there! I have been missing notifications though and have to go searching for posts from my friends and then when I logged in this morning there are discussions started more than a day ago that I have only just received notifications for. I do hope they sort this out soon as it is making me even nuttier than usual! lol xxx

Hello.mummymo,i also have the same problem,sometimes i will not receive the email notifications,the other times,i will have the notifications after few days,when i type the replies,i will see alot of responses have been there already.
It should be a glitch in mylot.

I found this too pal , What I am doing now is trying to work my way through , I am then finding I have missed quite a few of my friends and I work my way down the ones I have missed ( sometimes 5 or 6) then I carry on to the next one , I have about 400 now lol and there is no way I can get through them all , like you pal , I can only apologize , I find though I am missing out ( as Gabs said ) people who are coming back to respond to my responses )( if that makes sense lol ) seems to be too many people on the site for My Lot to deal with ??? xxxx

It may have to do with the site going down I think it was on Friday, it does seem to affect the notifications because there was a dearth of them, If I have missed any of yours let me know (pm) I did go for some time without the internet so I am still catching up on my friends discussions! I do remember the site going down now you mention it but some I have noticed I didn't get notified for were from both before and after this sweets! I am so glad you are back online again Sweets cos we missed you loads - I am sure you will catch up soon and don't worry - I think this is my first post in about a week! lol Hugs n Love to my fave brother! xxxx

I only seem to get a few notifications these days (this one for example), so either my friends aren't posting many discussions which could be because of the weather or holidays, or they are not all being sent out, I do check My Friends discussion folder as well, so don't miss out on too many. It can be difficult to respond to every discussion from every friend (especially if you have a lot of them), especially as time can sometimes be limited.

I am glad you got notification for my discussion Eskimo - I would miss you if you didn't express your opinion - I always look forward to hearing what you have to say! I do not respond to every discussion but I have a lot of time on my hands so I reply to all that I feel I can say something about - I feel really bad about the posts I have to delete! lol Hope everything has settled down at work now! xxx

It has happened to me too mummymo. I do get email notifications but have noticed that I don't get them all. Only after I have answered the ones in my email, I go to the link under "discussions my friends started" only to find I have missed some. Another glitch I suppose but it's becoming very annoying as I also rely on my email notifications.
I also apologise to you if I have missed any of yours :)

I posted the same discussion as yours. I also received less e-mail notifications from My Lot. Normally I won't be able to handle all the e-mail notifications as whenever I respond to one, another two or three will come to my e-mail. But these few days, I received less than half of the normal. I have been thinking why my friends are a bit inactive here but never thought that something is wrong somewhere. Another thing that happened to me was that, those notifications will be send to my Bulk folder instead of my Inbox folder. I don't know why this happened. Was it a glitch of Yahoo or My Lot?

Well I don't mind us posting similar discussions - I hope you don't mind either - I think it is inevitable that some of us will post very similar discussions! I discovered the spam/bulk folder notifications just after I posted this discussion and started another about that! I marked every one as not spam and that seemed to work although I am now receiving them a day or more late! lol I did think it may be something to do with Yahoo but others who have used other email providers have experienced similar problems - lets just hope it gets sorted out soon! xx
