I've been having chronic Dandruff problem for the past 20 years. I've tried almost all the available over the counter anti-dandruff shampoos and a few Doctor prescribed shampoos, till date there seems to be no cure at all.
Will the use of Olive oil as a hair oil help control or cure my problem. Right now I'm using coconut oil. Is there any other natural way of getting cured of dandruff.

Continue coconut oil.Dandruff never cured, but can be minimized by using oil.

What is Redken?. Is it a brand name or is it a Ingredient in a product? Where is it available?. The problem for me is that every time I wash my hair with Anti-Dandruff shampoo my scalp gets clean only for my dandruff to reappear the next day morning

You should try and get rid of dandruff, which is not always helped by oil alone. Stimulation of scalp while massaging should get natural oil secretion increased.
Add 1 tbsp of medicated oil or use unscented oil like almond or olive. After applying oil, wrap your head in a hot towel for 20 minutes. Before washing apply a paste of curds and 1 tsp of oil for another half an hour. If the problem persists, see a dermatologist before trying anything else.

Like what i answered on another discussion, I used to have dandruff before what i did is wash with a dandruff shampoo then cleanse it up very well. Wash it for several minutes making sure there is no residue. Sometimes its cause by shampoo left on the scalp. Shampoo every other day because your scalp is dry and needs some oil on it. Avoid sweating too much. Hope it helps or if it doesnt work better try to be bald once and let hair grow again so u'll be able to clean your scalp and healthy hair will grow.

Have you tried selsen blue? It has worked for me. Also, you might have soriasis (I don't know the spelling for sure). you can have it on your scalp or other places on your skin and it basically causes excessive shedding of your skin and build up. You can buy a product in the pharmacy section at places like walmart that come in a small rectangular, clear bottle with a squirt top. Ask the pharmacist to help you find something for that. They should be able to direct you. If you've tried that and it didn't work, try a specialist.
