Smokers, I'm just curious. When your done with your cigarette, why to you throw it out the window while your driving. Why don't you just put it out in your ashtray and throw it out appropriately in a trash can when you reach your destination?
The next time I'm at a red light and I see someone throw their cigarette out the window, I think I might just get out of my car, pick it up, and throw it back in their window. It would be an act of kindness. I would just say, excuse me, you dropped something.

So will you stop doing that now? It must be very tempting to just flick the thing out the window so you don't have to deal with the mess, but realize that you are littering. You probably wouldn't like it if I was the car ahead of you and I threw out a banana peel so you could drive through it, right?

wow, i never thought of that, i smoke and do the same thing, i throw them out... but i would never think of throwing my sandwich wrappers or empty drink bottles out... i will ponder this.. i think it is a force of habit just like smoking.
