My dear MyLotters:
I always knew that the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) existed, but I never paid any attention to them. Recently, as I have watched a video from the History Channel about the KKK, I became so sadden. Ever since I have seen that video I pray for the KKK members. I pray that they will no longer hate, I pray that their group will dissolve, and such. I do not hate them. I pray for them.
Are there any members of the KKK on myLot? I will pray for you. What do you think of them? Are they good or are they evil? How can people still join them today? Is it an oragaization created by the Devil? Why do they say on their website: "Our Entire Group of Sites are Family and Christian Friendly", but they hate everyone that is not of the white race?I will quote a song by Cyndi Lauper:
"Haunted by white sheeted ghouls, filled with hate
hate me and hate you and proud of it too...tear a part hate, tear a part hate".
I believe Cyndi was right, even though I am white I have black friends and I think members of the KKK will hate me and are proud of it too.
I will pray for you members of the KKK, may God Bless you all, and may God save you all from the hate.
Yours faithfully,
Pablo

KKK have no respect for others lifes and that is very sad. Every person has a right to live in dignity. The thing about the KKK is they are brought up thinking this kind of thoughts. I pray for them because they are demeaning the value of life. Yes, if you have black friends than in their eyes you are the KKK's enemy.

God says to pray for our enemies, so I am always praying about many of the enemeies that exist. I believe that it is sad that they say they follow the Bible, but hate many people. Thank you for your comments Sunshinelady.

Can I ask supporters of the KKK why...if the KKK is all about "equal rights" for white Christians do they have a name that is associated with hate crimes against black people in the 50's and 60's? If they have changed, are not about hate, and want to be disassociated from those activities - why do they use the same name?

PS If any of you can get a hold of it - there is a DVD called John Safran Vs God. Basically John Safran goes around the world meeting with different religious groups. One of them was the KKK. Now yes these people were polite and nice to him - until they found out John Safran was a (non practising) Jew. Then they were not "so nice" ...didn't see a lot of love there.
Anyway, in spite of the above this DVD is worth watching because he explores all these different religions in an irreverent way. It is informative but also a great laugh. My favourite part was when he was trying to pitch a hip movie to the Mormons called "Extreme Mormons".

Thanks for posting on here. According to their website, KKK members are sworn to anonymity and have special KKK slangs to identify klan members. Thanks for recommending the DVD, I will have to check it out.
Now, I am not sure if all that anonymity is true, but I am just saying it was the impression that I got from reading their website. Sorry, if that is not an issue that is not a part of their ways.

It is really sad and sick that people raise their children to hate under the guise of a loving God. It sickens me.
Even tho my personal opinion is the Bible cannot be taken literally, it certainly does not teach hate.
Killing for God is like screwing for virginity...totally ignorant and backassward.
Hate is a sin no matter how one tries to dress it up.
I just think it's sad that those people were raised to hate in the name of religion. KKK members have no nads at all. Spineless, faceless and spiteful. Nothing Christian or kind about that.
Good discussion, Pablo.

Perhaps you are right hon, but remember "Don't hate the haters" as Cyndi Lauper puts it. And remember "We are different colors, one people." as Lucky Dube puts it. This group and other groups will never scare us into oppression :)

I saw the same documentary you did. As a African-American and a modern day liberation wotker I was horrified. I never knew it was that bad. As a person of faith, I like you wish for God's liberation of their souls. I try to be bitter, but it's hard sometimes.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been away for awhile. I have realized it is a person's choice to do as he/she pleases, so therefore even if someone does a wrong choice sometimes we have to tell them what we think, pray for them and hope they change their ways :)

the kkk has murderd thousands of innocent men women and children (not just black americans but other race of americans as well) we can't really be accurate of exacly how many civilians were murderd but we do know the violence started during the close of the civil war. when they're organisation was founded. the klan is a terrorist organisation they are very ignorant of the fact that if america did not give us the freedom of speech. they would have been disbanded completly a long time ago, either with force or retaliation.
they are what destroys the good name of america will racism always be around ? it will because it's the foundation is ignorance, and hatred. but the klan should not be around forever. there can never be any amount of justice for the people who were killed because they didn't want they're women to speak for their selfs or they didn't want that "colored" boy to have a say in his country ...all we can do my friend is live by example of what america is and what it will always be and that is the land of the free! don't give up and don't stop praying change is iminent !
take care -oliver the great !

Racism is a very bad thing that is in the world and it is every wheres and no matter what someone does it will never totally go away. Everyone in the world has some form of racism because everyone hates at lease one person no matter what the reason is for the hate,it could be the color of the person, the way they act or the way they dress, etc but hate is every wheres you go though and it is a hard thing to get rid of. I think that people shouldn't hate people because of there color or what they do or how they look but there are people in the world that are like that though.
