Glad you had a good teacher, that is important. my b/f is very paitent. It is me that is not and I tend to beat up on myself on every little error. In time I will get better. Thanks for sharing.

The first time I ever sat behind a wheel was when I was 13 and I drove about 3 feet backwards and that was it.The next time was taking a lesson from one of the courses offered as a gift I received from my father.30 years ago now.

Hello there island_gecko!
I actually learned how to drive at the age of twelve. I taught myself because no one would take the time to teach me. I hit at lease seven cars before getting my license at the age of fourteen…lol..
I remember each time we would get together with my family on Sundays and they are all busy playing their card games, I would listen carefully to who ever needed change for their money and I would grab the money and take off in the car…lol…I often got yelled at but then my oldest brother told everyone to back off so that I can learn.
It was truly exciting! I once got into a fender bender before even reaching the end of my block, it was an old couple and they really understood. They didn’t call the cops or anything; it was my uncle who yelled for hours because I scratched his beloved “low rider”…lol
