For me ,happiness is to make people my beloved live better. Unfortunately, I can't make it true now. I have a pair of good parents, but I am not a good daughter. My parents are still worring about my life, because I don't find a good job and earn too little money. I hope I can send some money to my parents every month, but ......
I find my lover now, he is very considerate man, so I 'm very happy now. But he doesn't have a good job too. So now my object is to making enough money online. Although money can't bring happiness directly, but it is a necessary element.

happiness for me is contentment in life. when you're not contented then you will aim more and you're not happy. live to the fullest and throw away all your worries and you will be happy.

hi happiness. :-) i guess we have a similar concept of happiness. i am happy when the people i love are happy too.
oh don't be too hard on yourself. happiness is not all about money. you are striving hard to make money so i guess your parents are proud of you. and don 't worry, if you keep on applying for jobs and improving yourself then i guess you will soon have a stable job and be able to support yourself and your family.
hope you and your lover get a good job soon. good luck!

Wow, what a great question. I think that a lot of us spend a lot of time trying to figure out what happiness truly is, considering that we all tend to chase the idea of happiness.
Happiness, to me, is two-fold. First is support. I cannot be happy without the support of my family and friends. There are few things that make me happier than spending a few hours with my close friends. This, I believe, is the part of happiness that cannot be bought with money. However, this isn't just free time with support either - in work or school, it's also important to be surrounded by people who support your ideas.
The second part of happiness is opportunities, or possibilities. Unfortunately, this aspect of happiness certainly has a lot do to with money, since money is so often necessary to create opportunities. For example, I love to travel, but I would never be able to see the world if I didn't have some money. Right now, I'm in a summer program that costs more than 4k, but it has made me extremely happy because of all the opportunities it has brought me. Of course, I wouldn't have the opportunity to be here if I didn't have an extra 4k to spend.
Of course, money can't buy happiness. The money itself hasn't made me happy. However, lack of money can cost happiness - that much, I'm sure of.
It sounds like you've achieved, at the very least, the first component of happiness and you're not necessarily limited by the second. I wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of happiness.

Happiness, to me, is hearing my son laugh for the first time because of something goofy his big brother did.

Happiness is of course a state of mind, how well we control our emotions and react to our surroundings. Right now, I am very unhappy.
Let me list my sorrows:
Ten years of marriage and living with my in-laws in a joint family has taken its toll on my mind and physique. At 34, my hair has greyed beyond the normal acceptance level and I look way beyond 40. I try to overlook it.
Contributing to the family’s monthly expense has left my husband and me almost penniless and it’s been 2yrs we have taken even a weekend holiday. We just can’t afford it.
We buy clothes just once a year, that too maximum 3sets. Girls in my office go on shopping sprees. I avoid them.
I have no jewelry except a half-ring of gold, which I wore in my school days and a pair of wedding rings and bangles. My husband can’t afford to gift me jewelries.
Compromising within the family infrastructure on everything, starting from space and ending with food, has left me bitter. I am an only child of working parents but post-marriage, I have never had a second helping of anything I liked, food is just evenly distributed among all of us by my mom-in-law.
I have no control over my house (its not my house anyway, its my in-laws), my family (everything from the monthly grocery to the daily menu is decided by my mom-in-law), my money (though I work, most of my money goes to the bank, to compensate for my husband’s contribution to the family expense). I just can’t take it anymore.
Now, my blessings:
I have a very loving and understanding husband
I have a wonderful son
I have perfect health.
I have a good job.
I try to remember my blessings every time I feel down, but I just can’t help feeling miserable all the time. I feel like an entrapped bird! My happiness is gone!

Happiness is a feeling. If I have some money and I don't have to worry about my economy, that's one kind of happiness. However, the most part is my family. We live together happily, and we are all healthy. That's the biggest reason for me to be happy.
As you know, money can't buy many things. I'm glad that you found such a good lover. Love each other is a very happy feeling. If you are united, then you can always earn more money.

I reckon there are two types of happiness. One is true happiness which you feel between friends and your family or the people around you. The other one is brought by material things which money can buy.
Happiness is love and care from people whom you care as well. And you're right money is an element but it is not a true happiness that you can get from it but more on shallow one that wordly things offers.

We can always feel happiness...true happiness I think is feeling of fulfillment...like me I am happy because I have my own family, raising my children though we're poor we tried to live a normal life. And I am happy seeing them grown up and working hard in their studies...
No matter how big or small thing is for as long as you feel happy for it then it's a big accomplishment...

for me happiness is when someone loves you and accept you for whoever you are..
me, im happy with my family now, 'coz even though we have so many struggles in life, so many trials but then we are still complete facing it all, i mean all our problems.
im happy to have a complete and happy family...
but when it comes to my lovelife, well... it really sucks! why? 'coz i love someone far away with me, we were miles apart that's why i miss him a lot and i'm longing for him. And unfortunately we just broke up 5 months ago. But i still love him so much...
Happy with my family but not with my lovelife...

For me, happiness is all about being able to wake up each day with a smile even if you have a lot of reasons to frown. It's when there is contentment yet fulfillment on your day to day battle with life. Being happy doesn't always mean luxury. A simple smile and hug from a person who is so much dear to me can already make me happy...:-)
