i just watched harry potter 5 and i was wondering, what age is harry potter supposed to be in the order of the phoenix? i don't mean daniel radcliffe cause i know he's 17. is harry supposed to be the same age as radcliffe? i don't know if it was just me but i kinda think radcliffe acts and looks too old for the harry potter role in order of the phoenix

In the 5th book he is 17, just like he is in the movie. The ages of the actual actors are close to their characters in the movies. :)

I'm re-reading book 6 right now in preparation for book 7. I Just read the part where it talks about Harry turning not being 17 yet. They're talking about...Transfiguration I believe...and Ron talks about not being able to take the test until he's 17...and then something about being a couple months older than Harry, I believe. So, as others have said, he is indeed 15 in book 5. 16 in book 6, which I'm re-reading now. 17 in book 7.

No problem! And last night I read the part where Ron takes the test (and fails) because he's old enough (17) and Harry says not to worry, that Ron can take it when he does. So, even if I wasn't sure before - I am now! Lol.
