It's hard to say, it really depends on what you enjoy doing. We have been blessed with a large and beautiful country with all kinds of climates and different lifestyles, from the Amish in Pennsylvania to the rich folks in L.A. or New York City. Determine what you want or like to do and then look for places where you can find those kind of activities. The internet is a great tool for finding things to do in the U.S. If you like hanging out at the beach, we've got thousands of miles of coastline. I prefer the beaches on the west coast of Florida, but hey, I live there. My favorite is Sand Key Beach in Clearwater, Florida. It is kind of secluded and peaceful. About a couple of miles away, you find Clearwater Beach with more activity. One of my favorite places to go is New Orleans, Louisiana, and I don't drink. I was working there one week and fell in love with it. My favorite part is the French Quarter and Mall nearby. Look for coupon books for saving money on hotels in Welcome Centers when you first enter a state or at truck stops, if you are renting a car and driving. These coupon books include the smaller motels that may not be available on Priceline or those other internet sites. Always ask to see the room and be sure to make sure the Air conditioning works if you are in areas where it is hot. Good luck with your hunting and enjoy your trip.
