in paying respect

i went through a posted image in friendster, which gave me a feeling of disgust. (view the posted picture). looking through the statue, i sensed that it was taken in Baguio City, which happened to be my present location for the past six years. the visitor may have presumed that since it is just a statue it is lifeless so anybody has the freedom to do anything they wanted. however, the visitor forgot the symbolism and relevance embedded upon the statue. i see that the picture has shown callousnesses on the part of the visitor. he has in a sense robbed due respect to the place and the cultural representation of the statue.
