Hello Suzzs, When you say you are addicted, just HOW addicted are you? I drank pepsi for 30 years but I never had more than 2-4 a day. I have for the past 1 1/2 year had a total of maybe 8 pepsi. I started drinking water and now pepsi doesn't even taste good to me. I don't think the weight I lost when I quit drinking it was solely because of Pepsi, because I started to eat differently also. (staying away from sweets and chips, etc.) But I did loose 34 lbs. in about 4 months. And I need to get back to eating that way again because I have gained 10 lb. of my weight back.

well i drink about 5-6 cans aday and if i dont
have it i start to shake...i take meds that's part of
my weight gain, the other is carbs, i eat lots of bread and pasta.. but im sure if i could stop the pepsi id lose some and its a start.. i cant do it all at once and i have to see results or i get discouraged... but as for pepsi, one calls for another so im really addicted...

Suzz, I try to be realistic when I decide to try and lose a few pounds and set my goal to lose 2-3 lb per week. I have dieted on and off and found that if you lose it slow then you don't gain it back as quickly. Maybe you should try weaning yourself from Pepsi. Drink one less per day for one week then try to take the second one away the following week. It sounds like its the sugar content that makes you shake if you don't have it. I don't know what kind of meds you are on but do you need to eat something when you take them and fail to do that? (I'm not a breakfast eater) Although I try to eat in the morning, it doesn't workout sometime.

I lost weight switching over to diet pepsi. It takes a little getting used to. But it really does make a difference. You can still get the soda without all the calories.
