hi, Well I cane help by suggesting very good and appropriate softwares which take care of everything you need like virus, checkers, malwares, firewall etc. I wouls like to suggest you to use ZoneAlarm or Norton Internet Security. Both are good softwares, i have used both, have good result, taking care of things u need to check.

Norton Internet Security hogs resources, and ZoneAlarm can only protect you if you answer permissions requests correctly every time. Practically no one can, which is why I recommend NIP over HIP for average users. One of ZoneAlarm's best features is filtering of private information. This is a good thing, but not when you must sacrifice preventative protection for it. I suggest a more proactive firewall like Sunbelt (formerly Kerio), BlackICE, or the latest versions of McAfee. For HIP, you can use a dedicated product like Novatix Cyberhawk, which is continually updated with incoming information from its user network, and produces far fewer false positives than an unintelligent and completely user-dependent product like ZoneAlarm or Comodo.

hello s_rana2002, i use one such program.and it does wonders to my pc.its called zome alarm security suite.it comes in a package of antivirus, antispyware and firewall.it also has an option to update, you can update manually or automatically.but it doesn't have any registry checking options.and you have to buy the product to get its full version.if you manage to get the license from somewhere then you can use it. for registry optimizing, tune up utilities.it is also not a freeware.but its very good.you have lot more options to it rather than registry optimizing.eusing registry cleaner is a free one.you can use it also.

May be you should try Zone alarm package which has all the things you need in one package but the thing is that it is a paid one and not free.

I don't trust Swiss Army knife products to take care of everything. There is Norton SystemWorks which hogs up resources (I don't think it even has a firewall), Iolo System Mechanic with its mediocre security (Trend updates fast, but it's weak), and VCOM System Suite which messes up the registry and cripples programs (only good thing about it is Recovery Commander, which is actually available standalone). As far as security goes, there is a free all-in-one suite that you can install and forget about. It's called AOL Safety and Security Center. Sign up for a free e-mail account (do whatever you want with it), download the software, reboot, login to S&SC one time with your new username and password, then leave it. It's lighter on resources than most suites these days, yet it works. It's firewall is one of the best parts about it (it has NIDS): http://daol.aol.com/safetycenter If you want something to clean your registry, my recommendation is ToniArts EasyCleaner. It's one of the few that I've yet to see crash a system (knock on wood), and it's free. Use it only after you install/uninstall a program: http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ Also, if you're interested, there's a freebie called JKDefrag that bundles three versions in one small ZIP file: a Windows version, a commandline version for scheduling, and a screensaver version. Unless you already have a screensaver you like to use, you can copy-paste this little file into your system32 folder and setup in properties. Whenever your computer is idle and goes into screensaver mode, it will defrag your hard drive: http://www.kessels.com/JkDefrag/ There's another freebie called IObit SmartDefrag that can continually defragment your hard drive even while you use it. However, its performance is less than impressive (Windows Disk Defragmenter seems to do better), and the offline defrag crippled Windows Logoff when I tested it for Ian "Gizmo" Richards. But to simply install it and leave it run won't hurt anything. And who knows? It's still in beta, so it could still get better: http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html# If money is no object, my recommendations are Norton WinDoctor (for registry errors and other types of software errors), PerfectDisk (defragger), and Kaspersky Internet Security. If you never install anything, and just want your computer to keep working, there is a product called Returnil Virtual System that automatically erases all changes to your system every time you reboot. However, it can be an inconvenience if you need to occasionally save files on your hard drive: http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/index_files/rvspersonal.htm There's an even more proactive measure you can use to make your machine invincible against malware, which I'll be publishing on the web very soon. If you keep track of my discussions (I don't start very many), or add me to your friends list, I'll let you know when the site is up. Hope this helps!
