Does your kitty greet you when you walk through the door or does he just ignore you?My Moose always does. Most of my work shifts i don't get home til about 8:30 pm.I will pull up in our parking spot and there is old faithful waiting patiently in the kitchen or the living room window.I walk through the door and I will be rushed. He will greet me a seconds then head to the kitchen where he knows he will get his nightly ration of cat milk.It always makes me feel so good when I come home and see him waiting for me.No matter how bad my day was, seeing him waiting for me always makes my day

My kitty - He's the best thing in the world and I'm always happy that he's happy I'm home.
aw my little cat is the best. He always greets me at the door. Ok well not always. Sometimes if I get home early from work for some reason or something he'll have been too busy sleeping to notice that I came home and all I have to do is stand at the door and say "reggie cat?" and within seconds I hear him running out of the bedroom and coming towards me! He pretty much hears my car pull in and the honk of my car when I lock it and he's right there at the door the moment I open it most of the time. Then I usually have enough time to shut the door and take off my purse/throw down my keys and wrapping himself around my legs wanting to be petted and loved. I love that little bugger!

Aww Kitties are the best. Thank you, my cats name is Reggie Cat. (yes, cat is a part of his name!)Does your kitty hate when you leave him? I usually distract Reggie Cat with a few treats when I'm about to head to the door so he doesn't follow me and try to go with me. Cats are definitely great pets.

No, my cat avoids me like the plague. He is my Son's and husband's cat. You want to know why? Because I am the one that baths, worms, does flea control, takes him to the vet for his vaccinations, spats his butt for jumping on the counters and clawing the furniture, basically for being mom! He sees me coming and instantly you see a wary look cross over his face and eyes. What he does not understand is that I only do those things because I love him and want to keep him healthy....just like all the other "kids". My dog is so much more forgiving, she is the one that greets me at the door as soon as she hears the car pull up.

of course.mom always gets the raw deal. It's just like with human kids.mom is the one that bathes and changes diapers but what is the first word out of the kids' mouth-dada!

Cleopatra used to greet me but since we now have a puppy, she just waits on me in the bedroom then rubs up against me. I think the puppy makes life hard for her but she has began to show him that she is still in charge around here. LOL

Actually, I have two cats. Both of them always seem to wait in the window until my daughters and I get home. When we do come in they do not leave us alone for about an hour, and then my one cat does his best to get out the door so he can go outside for a while. Seems like they have set up a routine. :) cheers,

i found my cat when he was so small he couldn't walk nor eat so he was bottle feed and under observation 24/7 (so everything was allright), so yes he is very connected with me. When he hears me comming he stands by the dor and firstly rubs by my leg, when i lay on the couch to watch tv, he jumps on it and sleeps by me. whenever i go on a walk or out he walks me some of the way :)

I do not have a kitty of my own but my neighbors cat is always there to greet me when I come home or when I leave the house. This cat used to be a stray cat but my neighbor took him in. The cat is mainly outdoors so he is out there a lot when I arrive home or go out. He always likes to rub along my legs.

Both my cats come to the door when I get home. They rub all over me, meow, and love me with their affectionate ways. They are the best children I have ever had. Just give unconditional love out.

Maya waiting for Mama - She is always poking her head through the blinds waiting for me.
My cat is always waiting for me by the window looking out. She knows what time I should get home and watches. My husband says she seems to get anxious when I am late. After I pull into the garage, she runs to the door for snuggles and kisses. She is very affectionate.

trace, what a beautiful kitty. My Moose is the same way.My dad said about 15-30 mins before i arrive ,he will either jump up on the kitchen or living room window and he won't budge til i get home. Isn't it funny how they know? I think there was only one time i came home and he wasn't there.turned out he was curled up in a ball on my bed sleeping. He's got his priorities, lol!

I completely understand how you feel about your kitty greeeting you after work. Of my two csts, one in particular always greets me. She recognises cars & knows when it is mine or someone elses. Very often she is outdoors during the day, which is her choice, & when I return she rushes up to the car. When my husband is on late shift, he doesn't come home until midnight. My cat is asleep on our bed. As soon as she hears hubbies car, she is off the bed like a bolt of lightening, & races down the hallway to greeet my hubby.

Isn't that funny how they know.My dad told me before that my Moose will jump up on the window about 15-30 mins before I come home and he wont' budge til I come home. That's a nice greeting to have your hubby work late and have kitty meet him at the door.Cats are just the greatest

Moomin will often sit and wait by the door for me, she always seems to know when I need furry cuddles too. She waits until I have put the kettle on, knowing that she will get some catfood and then curls up on the sofa next to me to relax in the evening

One of my cats will pop up into the window as I pull into the drive way. If I don't get to the door in a timely manner she pops back into the window to see where I am. Then she waits on the couch, which is by the front door. Too cute! Love her lots!

Most times I'm home, so my cats don't really miss me. Most days we hang out together at the house. But, some mornings, both cats act as if they haven't seen me in years. And, then they go around trying to get my attention all day. For instance, Big Man, the male cat will rub the top of his head against my foot. And, he won't stop meowing until I pick him up for a quick pet. And, EB, our little female cat will bug me until I let her curl up in my lap. It used to bother me a lot when she did that, but not anymore. I think it's just her way of showing love and affection.

I had this one cat years ago that not only met me at the door, but my friends would swear that she hugged me. She would always put both of her fron tpaws around my neck and purr up a storm. Except for the night that I went dancing and came home reeking of smoke. That night hse put all four paws and my chest and wouldn't give me my hug until I went and had a bath.

Ah alas sometimes my two kitties will greet me when I come home...most of the time they kind of ignore me--usually cause they're in the midst of their beauty rest..LOL...when I had more cats it was a different story,....there be a regular army out there at the hallway waiting for me to come home...my then alive mom would say that they used to start waiting at the door as early as 20 minutes before I came home...no matter what time I came home---kind of miss those days.

I always thought that dogs greeted while cats were very cool about it, there is a cat (stray) that waits outside my office and as soon as I open the door, she walks in majestically and leads me to the refrigerator for the milk. Your cat looks beautiful.
