Here we are monday morning and once again, I was suppose to start my diet and we are now 2 pm and I blew it. I cannot find motivation. It is so bad that now I can't even last one day. I know my health is in danger, I know it would be better for me. But I can't.
So, how do you do it?

Sometimes we have to talk to ourselves to get and keep ourselves motivated to really stick to whatever it is we are doing that is not already a habit for us. When I started loosing weight it actually took 3 months before I lost 5 pounds and kept it off. I had to find out what the why was in losing the weight. And then use that for the motivation. I was just sick and tired of being over 100 lbs overweight and not feeling well and not being able to do alot of the things that I like to do. And I hated the isolation that being heavy brings. Other people don't like being around heavy people. I am a people person so that really became my #2 motivation. To keep the friends that I have had for years that seem to be busy when I wanted to go somewhere in public. Your motivation will come from within you. Find your "why" and the rest will start to fall in place. I also found that if I started with just one meal at a time by the end of the day if I did good 2 out of 3 meals I considered myself successful in my goal of losing weight. Then the next day was a brand new and the same rules applied until I could start stretching it to being 4-5 out of 7 days. Eventually the goals that I had set out for myself started falling into place and the weight keeps coming off and I don't really have to be constantly watching what I eat because it has now become a lifestyle instead of a new habit. Just keep on keeping on. Be determined in your thinking that you are going to be successful and you will be.

Well, I haven't started a blog as of yet. I am still a work in progress. I am only half way to my goal weight, so I am still working on reaching my goals and marking off another success. And that is after years of failure in "dieting". I don't diet anymore, I eat everything that I like whenever it is there to enjoy. The secret to keeping the scale going down on the numbers, is to eat in moderation. I use to eat two plates for every meal. Piled high and I was the first one back in line for dessert. Now through trial and error and many failures and start overs I have learned to eat less by cutting my portion sizes in half. Then when that was accomplished and I didn't feel hungry between meals I again cut my portions to 1/3 of what was a normal plate full. I now eat 1 and 1/3 plate less than I did 6 months ago and am losing 1.75 - 2 pounds a week. It is possible, but you have to retrain your thought patterns and normal habits and ways of doing something if you want different results from what you have now. As you think in your head and believe, it is stored in your heart as true, and what you believe as true, will come out your mouth. And when I was not succeeded in losing weight. My words were in agreement with that. "I can't do this, It's too hard. I always mess up everytime I eat." I just learned to reprogram my thoughts to what I wanted to have happened and now it is doing just that and I am not struggling nearly as much with eating. If the portion size is bigger than my fist, it is tooooooo big and I just put some back and know that I am a winner in doing so. Just hang in there you can do. Just keep telling your you are a winner.

It's really hard to look for motivation. 90-95% of time you'll want to give up or not even start. Each of us will have our own experience that would trigger us and give us the motivation we need. It could be the drive to look good, to have the clothes you want to wear, could be the girl/man of your dreams, could be your health, could be your self esteem, could be jealousy on someone who looks good. It then boils down to each of our own preference/needs but one thing's certain, you motivate yourself so you could be happy. ^_^

Have a strict self control and appetite discipline-there are times when the natural impulsion to eat food becomes very strong-just look the other side as you issue strong warning to your appetite right in your brain!
