I know it is a mouth full isnt it. But that is what I was diagnosed with on Saturday night. It is on my legs and looks like I sever allergic reaction to something. I was given an antibiotic and ibuprophin and was told that it really just had to play through up to 6 weeks. I am severly retaining water in my foot and leg that that is the worst on and I am very uncomfortable. I cant stand things to touch it and it does get itchy, from time to time. My kids keep forgetting about it and run into my leg and stuff. Have anyone heard of this? Has anyone else ever had this? If you have had it does it sound like the same thing? (I am a little sceptical about the diagnosis.)

I have heard of cellulitis, but not the rest. I have heard it is very painful. I hope it gets better soon.

I've never had it myself but the drummer in our band just got over a really bad bout with Cellulitis a few weeks ago. He spent a week in the hospital and several more weeks on antibiotics. This is the second time he's had it. We had a gig 2 days after he got out of the hospital and I just about fainted when I saw his leg, it was double normal size and very red. Please be very careful and take all your antibiotics. I don't want to scare you but Cellulitis can get out of hand very quickly if not treated completely. Here's a couple of articles that might help. http://www.healthline.com/adamcontent/cellulitis http://www.healthline.com/adamcontent/erythema-nodosum Take care

Thank you for the websites. Very interesting. I just came from my family doc and he said that it looks like I just had a minor case of cellutitis and that the antibiptics are doing the trick I have some tests that he want to run tomorrow but all should be good Thanks again. And I will be very carefull and keep a close eye on it.

Hey t12679, Goodness, sorry to hear that-have you always had allergic reactions? I ask b/c my son just started to get allergic reactions any time he breaks his skin I took him to the ER & they didn't make a big deal about it just said give him benadryl but he is a teen now & never had allergic reactions before.I can't take him to a family doc b/c I don't have insurance. I've never heard of your skin disorder-did it start b/c you broke the skin? +'s |:)
