Its very alarmimng how some people are daprived of education, mostly those whom are in or below the poverty line. why do they allow this to happen? isnt education a basic need?

yes education is a basic need, but sometimes the situation does not give them the opportunity to get one. a strong political will is needed to at least provide free education to elementary and secondary level and give incentives to poor families who send their children to school.
