People have different attitudes towards opportunity.
Some people regard opportunity as the most important facter in their life.
It's the key to success and is almost equal to success.
In contrast, other people hold the view that opportunity is sheer luck .
With their hard work , knowledge and skill ,they don't need any opportunity to succeed.
Although the attitudes towards opportunity are different ,opportunity is indeed an indispensable factor that no one should neglet.IT can enable a person to be successful.
It brings one's abilities and skills to full play.
If one misses it, on the contrary ,nothing will be left but regret and disappointment .
So we should grasp every valuable opportunity and make good use of it.
Yet it is not opportunity itself that can decide a person's success or failue. in my point of view ,oppportunity is fair to every person.
In order to take advantage of the opportunities before us ,we need knowledge ,skill and experience.
In a word ,I think opportunity is important ,but it is not decisive and is not equal to success.

I totally agree with you that opportunity is important in life but it is not decisive and is not equal to success. We don't need opportunity to succeed in life but it is very helpful to success. Why do some people get more opportunity in life? Because they go out of their way to look for these opportunities or that they simply have the right connections. All of us can look for these opportunities but it doesn't necessarily mean that we are on our way to success. I know of some people who are lucky enough to be given the right opportunity but they didn't continue to work hard so they ended up as failures. This is one point to prove that opportunity isn't equal to success. I think the only thing that would equal success is hard work. I believe that people will really succeed in life if they only work hard enough to surpass their current situation. You are right in saying that even if there are no opportunities but there is hard work, there is a big chance for success. People who say that success is equal to opportunity are people who do not want to work hard. They just blame their failure on opportunities not coming their way. There may be times that those opportunities aren't for us -- let's not force that matter -- otherwise, we still won't succeed. Let us just move on with optimism and keep on trying even if we think that opportunity seems to be avoiding us.

All righte~!
I have the same attitude with the topic.
you 're right,if someone wanted to be success ,the best way is to work hard. with a luck chance is only to help him sometime ,not forever.
Being a last winner ,we can't depend on the opportunity first,we must hold a right idea , through the hard-work by ourselves and to be success.
In the process of hard-work ,we can learn more meaningful things that the opportunity can't express it .
Just as you say:LET us move on with optimism and keep on trying even if we think that opportunity seems to be avoiding us.

Opportunity will always present itself while your still alive, I've seen that happen many times, it's our prerogative to grab it or leave it be because in some circumstances it will also present a situation, some opportunities are not meant to be seized.
Example: you got the dream job you'd been waiting all your life, but you have to break up with the girl that you love so much because your employer will have to shift you more than 2,000 miles away from home on a 5 year contract (possilby to the moom). Or in some situation it's vise versa. I know this sounds a little too exaggerated but it's just an example.
Right now I'd be a bank of opportunity if I grab every single one of them that comes my way, I won't even know what to do with some of them...can't even sell them. So when we are presented with opportunity we have the responsibility to weight the situation, learn how we can adopt it in your life without compromising.
We don't need to fish or hunt for opportunity in order to be successful, we don't have to sit around waiting for it to happen either. A smart person is always successful because he/she makes his/her own opportunity all the time.

of my opinion, opportunity never equal to success. But, is an essentials for success. lack of opportunity, it's hard to be success. Chinese saying "tienshi, tili, zenho" which divided opportunity into two parts. You need the right time, right person, in the right place. plan you opportunity instead of waiting or chances are you'll have to wait for you whole life.
