I guess that everyone who genuinely loves poetry has a favorite poem. When I was in high school we had to read a lot of poetry and learn to recite it in class. I enjoyed this very much. It has been quite a long time ago since I was in high school, but there is one poem that I learned that I consider my favorite: Day is Done by Rudyard Kipling. To this day I can still recite every word. That's how much I love this poem. Do you have a favorite poem in your memory?

My favorite is Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's "Hymn to the Night"
. . ."From the cool cisterns of the midnight air, My spirit drank repose; The fountain of perpetual peace flows there, From those deep cistern flows.
It makes me think of a peaceful, beautiful night.

There are more than one poems which were able to touch my feelings written by poets around the world. "Stopping by the woods in a snowy evening" by Robert Frost is of course one of them. But I think my favourite poem is "Coloured Toys" by Rabindranath Tagore. It is so wonderfully describing the parental love for a child and the bond with nature of human being. Every time I read the poem, it brings fresh emotions and feelings to my mind.

My favorite poem is one that most Americans know by Robert Frost, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening":
"two roads diverged in a wood..."
It focuses on taking the alternate road in life, not the easy road, not the main road, but the road that is suited for you.
"and that has made all the difference"

I have the complete volume of Frost's works, AnythingArt. I also love his poetry. "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" is also one of my favorites.

I love Robert Frost's "Road not taken".
But the poem that impressed me a lot is by Francis Thompson.." The Hound of Heaven"
I fled him,down the nights, down the days;
I fled him, down the arches of the years;
I fled him, down the labyrinthine ways;
Of my own mind, and in the mist of tears,
I hide from him, under running laughter.
.... and only these lines i could recollect now... but this is really a master piece of Francis Thompson.
Have a good day.
