dogs always seem to vomit wothout regard for when or where they are located. oftentimes, dogs vomit with no apprent cause. as owners, we often think that our dog is vomiting because they ate thier food too fast or drank much water. But eating food quickly is a natural thing for dogs and does not usually results in vomiting. When your dog vomits, there is usually something more behind it than just rapid consumption of their food. Eating too much can often be the cause of fear that can make a puppy. although your dogs stomach can hold any miraculous amout of food, it is still possible that they can eat more food than thier stomach can hold. vomiting is a very common occurence in puppies as they learn thier limits in regard to eating. puppies are particularly prone to vomiting since they tend to eat objects such as dirt toys and other no so edible items. adult dogs tend to vomit from eating the bones, garbage and feces. basically vomiting is just a sign of stomach upset or inflamation. As your dog gets older, they usually will learn which type of ityems will make thier stomach upset and they will stop eating them. once your dog begins vomiting it can be very hard to getr the process to stop.Feeding your dog liquid diet such as beef broth and chicken pot is agood way to reintoduce foods to your dog after a long vomiting spell.

I am a vet tech and also otc meds like tagament work well too and they will not harm your dog. Another good thing to do is take them completly off of food and water for 24 hours. you can give them ice cubes for water if you think they absoulutley need it, but it is not neccessary. If vomiting continues over time, it could be a sign of a digestion problem or a problem with their esophagus possibly. Best advise don't wait too long to take your animal into the vet for a check up.

This is a very informative information. I always panicked when i see my dog vomit. But i know that they also know how to cure their own body problems. I see my dog eat herbs around the house when shes not feeling well. I think that's an amazing quality of the dogs. However, my dog vomited the whole day the other day. That was around 4 or 5 times in a day and she really looked weak and restless. She didn't want to eat anything. With that situation, she was really sick, not a normal thing for dogs. But she just recovered the next day. Eating whatever was given to her and asking for more. I really thought she was going to die having no food intake and continuous vomiting. But she just came from the vet that time so we didn't bring her back right away, we had to observe first. I am just upset with my dog because she likes chasing bugs and roaches that wander around our house. I think these were the ones that really made her sick. These insects are not very clean. I don't know how to make her stop catching these dirty insects. Thank you for your suggestion on the food that will help them while on recovery from their vomits.
