Do you like your job?

Or are you doing it just to make money for your family? I am not sure I really like my job, but I know that I would not like to start over again. I have been at this place for almost 2 years, and the money is better than any other place I would go to if I started over. What is nice about this place is that I can essentially set my own hours, and I've been there long enought that they treat me like I am a manager (even though I am not yet). So I cant complain too much, and I can still take time off to do my school work when needed.

That sounds pretty good to me. What are the negatives? I would enjoy that kind of flexibility and respect. What did you say you do? Did you say that you are going to school for accounting? What are your future plans? If nothing else, you can always regard the job as a tool to get you where you are going a vehicle so to speak to take you on down the road of life.

Right now I work in a call center. We take sales and billing calls for Comcast in Atlanta and Chicago. I run the traffic desk, or I at least help out with that until the regular guy comes in, or when he has days off. The downside is that when he does come in, I sometimes have to go back on the phones. Sometimes all the seats are filled, and I get to stay up and team lead. When I am on the phones, I take escalation calls, so lots of angry people. That is really the downside to it. I get so many people asking me on a daily basis why they havent promoted me yet. It would seem to be the logical choice, as I do managerial duties anyway when I am up team leading and running traffic, but then I am expected to be just like a normal agent too? It is hard to keep the two seperate. Do I show loyalty to the managers, or loyalty to the other agents? As far as my future plans, I am currently attending for a bachelors degree in business management with a focus on accounting. So one day, I will land a great job with great pay and benefits. I think right now I am just at the burn out point, and maybe should think about taking a few days off....
