Hi there! I do have a job, I'm *almost* independent. My parents live in the province, while I live in the city with a friend. Sometimes my salary isn't enough for my needs (and wants) so I still ask my mother to give me money, when I have none.

I am reasonably independent. I am married so my husband and I share the burden of the bills etc. My husband earns more than me so in that way I guess I am not very independent but I believe that I earn enough to get by if the worst came to the worst and things were not to work out.

Hello deepika!(",)
I earn my own money but I'm still with my family because they would not allow me to separate yet. I can say that I'm independent in some ways but I'm still very dependent to my family. With my earning I can help them with paying the bills and grocery. I'm happy sharing what I'm earning with them.
They say that I can separate only when I get married but that's so far away because being married is the last thing on my mind.(",)

Hi there!for me having your own life would not only mean that you have your own income. Its more than that. Though you can live a life of your own,; can buy for your food and shelter, but for the fact that you are still emotionally and socially dependent upon your parents, you aren't still living a life of your own. To live a life of your own is to be able to live a life of your own. Thus this two things are very different. The latter means living by yourself with no one besides you and the former means be able to depend on your own...Did it make a sense?
