Do you think people with attractive avatars get more responses??

I notice that discussion which is common, familiar and easy to be answered normally could attract a lot of responders. Topics which are related with common experience, simple answers, yes no questions etc, usually will be favored by most people.

For me, it is usually the Discussion that draws more attention than an Avitar, unless it is from a Good friend here who I recognize from their avatar more than their name. But for me, when I am trying to find New topics to reply too, I am one who reads the Title of the discussion and then decide from there if it is worth answering, as there are way too many discussions we can respond too on here.

Hi there.. I don't think it goes like that at all... U only get more responses if u post good and meaningful discussions, discussions that appeal to a lot of people.. Smtimes even i get very less responses despite of the very attractive avatar that I have (that has been said by many mylotters, not me!!)...

The topic is the main attraction to mylotters, of course. But I can't deny that I also look at avatars of the users from time to time. When I find the avatars interesting, I would browse on the user's homepage. Well, avatars are part of the game.

hi there! ;0 in a way, you may be right. some people do answer those people who have attractive avatars. but as for me, i dont really look at the avatars as a basis whether i will answer or not. i look at the question first if i can relate to it or not. :) thank you and good day. :)

i am new in mylot but I think you r right I have startded some disscusion, I have no avtar till now I recieve only 3to4 responses but now i realised that avatar is most important. but i never gave response to look avtars I saw only whats the "Q" .

I think the topic is more important and the fact that alot of people can relate to the discussion somehow. Sure - ones u have alot of friends they will reqognize u by your avatar and therefor they might take more notice =)

I think people don't try to give good replies so topics don't matter at all once they are set to give 'any' kind of reply. That not withstanding, people do tend to look at and reply discussions started by people with cute avatars. :)

I would admit that an attractive avatar is important but it's not the most important factor or perhaps not at all important. Let me tell you the basic formula for more responses; Many Friends + Simple question + attractive avatar + comments on friend's profile = Too many responses, LOL! I do not try this formula because I don't want many responses, simply because I can't handle many. But, I have to say that with all above other ingredients common, an attractive avatar will attract more responses than an ugly one. Simply because, everyone loves beauty, it's human nature! which can't be altered:-)

I think the topic of the discussion is what attracts people to answer, just because an avatar is pretty doesn't mean the topic is interesting. Of course a pretty avatar is always nice to see but I always answer if the topic is interesting for me and not if I like the avatar.

I think it is both, but more often on the quality of discussions...For me, I respond to a discussion that interests me, or have knowledge about...I could not respond to topics which are alien to me, or those I have no knowledge about...then of course, the avatar for me is just the icing to the cake...perhaps for some people, yes. It may draw their attention to the avatar first, then to the discussion...generally, I have noticed that the avatars here are simply great...

It's the topic that matter I guess. A plus to the avatar posted. hihihi.. Interesting topics will go a long way in a discussion for sure. :)

I think the topic is the most important thing to attract people to answer the discussion. But maybe avatar is also play a role. Some people might get attracted by the avatar. But to make them answer the discussion we need to provide an interesting topic.

i agree with everyone else here, it is the topic that grabs peoples attention, than they look at the avatar. I have yet to make such a topic.
