Why do people worship YouTube Directors?

I don't get it either. I like the webisodes and things. But the video blogs are annoying. It's screams "I want attention" and usually it's actors who just want more air time. That drives me nuts. Just act and you'll get attention. My brother and i were having a discussion about the lonelygirl something and the concept behind that drives me nuts. The fact a fake girl with a fake like can bring a group of people to their knees makes me frightened for the world to come. lord knows what we will see next.
