Pure cider vinegar. Put it in a spray bottle and spray it all over you. We keep a spray bottle in our bathroom and spray it on us while we are standing in the tub to keep from making a mess. The smell goes away quickly. YOu are making me itch just typing this. LOL good luck

I am highly allergic to posion Ivy. I can get it off my husband's clothes when he weedeats. I have to use the vinegar as often as I need to keep the itch under control. If you catch it as soon as you are exposed, you will never break out at all if you use the cider vinegar. Good luck to you.

I found this link online and it has tips on treating poison ivy itches etc.
Oh so sorry to hear that Terry, UGH the scratching, the itching will just kill me if I couldn't treat that quickly - I hear Aveeno helps but not sure on that one.

Sorry I didn't answer this sooner...I was wracking my brains trying to think what would be good for poison ivy...it wasn't until I was taking my bath that the answer was staring me in the face..I have a bottle of Gold Bond powder--haven't used it in awhile..but then picked it up and read the back...it says it's good for---minor cuts, sunburn, insect bites, scrapes, prickly heat, burns, rashes AND poison ivy, poison sumac, and poison oak...think they make a lotion too! Also..what might be good and it would feel cooling...good ole Noxema!!

Oh Terry, you poor thing. I dont know if there is anything else you can do other than the callimine, but maybe someone might come up with something better. I hope it gets better really soon. It must be horrible for you.
Best wishes to you

GoldenSeal will dry up poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac in 24 hrs. the deal is what to put the herb into to apply, vasealine works good. You can get goldenseal at any health food store or just take it out of the little capsules, It will work

Be careful and try to get some antibacterial solution and put on it or wash it with and do not eat or grab anything you know you are alergic to as that may increase this sometime....if does not get better try to consult a doctor soon....hope you will get better soon
