Here is a story where text messaging may have caused these deaths. I think cell phones are very distracting, and new drivers (teens) should not be allowed to use them while driving. Maybe save some lives.

We have stiffer penalties here in the UK, if you are caught driving whilst on your mobile/cell phone you get 3 points on your driving licence (12 for a complete ban) and a hefty fine on top! They clamped down hard, although I still see people on their phones and it is very very dangerous and selfish.

In Connecticut it is illegal to use a cell phone while driving if you get caught it is a 250.00 ticket....I think I can wait until I stop to talk.

What I'm trying to figure out, is why people in general have to have a cell phone glued to their ear all the time in the first place, let alone while driving which is probably the worse case scenerio of cell phone abuse...and I can't help thinking with the new iPhone from apple with a build in video screen is going to do now...like are people going to be dumb enough to watch something on their iPhone while driving too?

Yes I think that while Driving Cell Phones should be banned because there are so many accidents caused by drivers on there cell phone and im not being byased or anything but im guessing more then 50% of the people that drive and get into accidents while using there cell phones are women because I mostly see women driving with cell phones.

Yes, Cell phones should be banned while driving! While driving you need to focus 100% on the road. You can not be 100% focused if you are talking on the phone, texting or even answering.
