It seems to me that you may be trying to start discussions that require thought or long answers, or are asking questions that are fairly common. I have only been on mylot a short time, but it appears that it is largely luck of the draw that decides if a topic gets responses or not, but one thing I am fairly sure of is that most people on here wil shy away from discussions of important issues or issues requireing thought.
The discussions with high responses are the ones with titles like Favorite color, what do yuou do at night, whats your name, and that sort of thing.

i have more than 20 discussions with no answer myself, but i realised that maybe i didn't post intersting ones so i kept trying...it is all about checking up the other people's dicussions that have been answered and to see what intersts people, and try to post discussions on the same subjects..anyways,just keep on trying and also post responses in other people's topics..be interractive..respond as much as u can..and when people will see you there and if you posted an interesting response, one might like it and check up your profile and answer to your discussions aswell..goodluck

There are a lot of discussions started and so sometimes some of them just get missed but eventually they end up in BrainBusters where someone like me comes along. If we are interested, then we will respond to the discussion.
In the meantime, respond to discussions started by other people as well as starting your own discussions. The interaction with other members will increase your rating as well as your earnings and at the same time you learn about other people, their country and cultures.
Good luck in future. :)
