I just moved to NJ near Newark. Does it count northern or central NJ?

That's North--I'm in MOOREStown (not MORRIStown), down here in South Jersey. We (South Jerseyians){is that even a word???} are proud to actually have some elbow room left! Central--the big city is the capital of the state, Trenton South--the big (though I don't know how it can be considered a city) city is Camden (which really isn't that far down south anyway). HTH! :)

Yes the post above is correct- you are considered North jersey- I live in Cumberland County- which is southern NJ

It's been a few years since I've been in the area, but I believe that Newark is regarded as North Jersey.

If you live near newark that is North Jersey. I'm from Marlton near Cherry Hill thats south jersey. Central Jersey is like Princeton and New Bruswick area.
