If you would purchase a dog from a website why? If you wouldn't do it, why not? I think this is a discussion that could really educate people about some of the dangers that lurk with purchasing pets online.
If you did purchase online, what standards would you have for the website or the breeder? Is there anything specific that you would look for?

To be honest, I don't think that I would purchase a dog from a website. I'd rather go to the animal shelter or somewhere else where the dog really needs a good hom. I also, don't know that I would trust an online breeder. I mean, whose to say that the pedigree is accurate or not? I've never personally bought a pet online, but I'd be sure to research it a lot first if I saw a pet I really wanted. I guess just look for someone whose qualified and has sold a lot of dogs already, that might be a sign of a good breeder.

i dont think it is a sound idea, purchasing a pet online. for one --- you have to test the chemistry you have had with the pet, virtually, it is just not possible. you have to check some things that really need to be done when you see the pet. you dont want to put the pet back in the mail if it you dont like it. spare the pet the hassle of the stress you will put it through. for me, purchasing pets online is just so inhuman. i mean, these pets have also their rights to be treated accordingly.
