How do you Cheer Up your friends & loved ones?

With my family, I have to be inventive. They are used to my odd sense of humor. They expect it. So to cheer them up I might talk about something weird that I know. It is amazing how much useless knowledge I have accumulated throughout my 26 years. No one in my family can match me. With my friends, all I have to do is pick something positive about their lives and ask questions about it. Not something like, oh, you don't need to be down, count your blessings. No one wants to be told that, LOL. So I pick something they are happy or looking forward to, and I run with that. As with everything, there is no guarantee. But I try my best! : )

how am i cheer him up? i'll do the same thing with you. or sometimes i call him ugly or fatman.usually he will smile.If he's really down,i'll just hug him.that's all

Usually I give them a small little card or e-card to let them know I am thinking of them and are there for them. Or just share some of the their favorite food with them if I can be with them. And sit and listen to them and try to help whatever the reason they are down in the dumps.

I usally try to listen to them and then talk to them to try and cher them up the best that I can.

How do I? By being w/ them, listen sincerely & show my support. I share some jokes & ask him out for a good time.

My fiance, his son and I all have weird senses of humour, and we can cheer eachother up no problem. We also know what the others like. For instance, I bought the guys some summer sausage last week. I don't eat summser sausage, but they love the stuff so I got some for them.

Take the time to listen and let them say what they need to say. Find a surprise or something special your friend likes and give it to them! Always have an open heart!
