Get Traffic for building Referral to earn Passive $$$ Using Blog, Forums, MyLot?

Hi guys, for the past few months of my online-earning career, I have been seeing lots of different ways of advertising our preferred websites (PTC, PTR, PTS, PTP) to draw people to sign up as our referrals so we can so called, earn a 'passive income.' I have seen some advertising in other PTC sites so to draw traffic to their preferred site with some investments, I have seen others buying referrals from sites that specifically sells referrals but enticing them to sign up, and pay them. But the most common one I have seen is blog advertising, where as people set up personal blog to draw traffic, and hopefully those who are interested will sign up under them, as their referrals. I am not sure what am I doing, but I am advertising via myLot, profile page. I understand that using mylot as a tool to invite others isn't the most effective way of drawing traffic, and the banners I post does not explain much about the sites in a whole. But do you think it is good enough to advertise in this manner as a free form of advertising? Please check out my profile, and see if its feasible to advertise in a free method, without making a blog, or spending any money. I need you help, thanks!
