How long have you been best friends with your best friend? How did you meet?
This September my best friend and I will celebrate 20 years of being best friends! OMG... I feel so old!!! We met the first day of school, we sat next to each other and she asked to borrow a pencil, I gave her one and then she said "hey, wanna be best friends?" and we've been closer than sisters since! I miss her sooooooooooooooooooooooo much, as I moved 1,300 miles away 3 years ago for the second time and have only seen her once since then. But we remain close and talk on the phone nearly every day. Sure we've had our fights and times when we've not spoken but we can never stay mad for very long. I remember we spent our 13th anniversary (yes we keep track,lol) in the hospital together the weekend she gave birth to my godson. We're trying to plan a vacay together for next summer, yay!

I'm luckier than you in that one of my best friends only lives a few blocks away from me...We've known each other some 23 years or so--I remember the day we met as if it were yesterday. We were both down the pet food isle in the supermarket getting kitty food for our poor deprived cats...LOL..Like most pet owners we starting yakking about our kitties...she only had one, an orange tabby, named Sparkey (now in Rainbow Bridge) and out of the blue she said that she swore that Sparky was a reincarnation of her former cat....so that kind of sparked a really philosophical kind of talk about the esoteric, metaphysical/mystical world....and of Shirley McClaine!! Her mini-series had just come out based on her book Out On A Limb--all this while in the pet food isle!! mmmm..maybe a bit odd no? But it sparked a friendship that has still lasted all these years and the two of us have been through a lot together...the most recent sad event was the passing of her husband of some 44 years...I'm still consoling her as she feels really lost now

That is really lucky and a great story! It's funny that you mention the kitty reincarnation, a lot of our family and family friends always say that they think my kitty is a reincarnation of a family member. She's even got the whole thing where we just have to look at each other to communicate, only the women in my family can do that so it's kinda freaky in a cute kind way, lol. She does things that are way too human. But yeah best friends rock! Aww... I miss mine soooooooooo much. I haven't spoken to her or heard from her in over a month so I'm freaking out. Her phone is disconnected too. I'm hoping it's just a case of short funds and that everything is ok. Oh and I hope your best friend finds comfort and comes through such a tough time.

my bestfriend jonah and i are almost 22 years of being bestfriends.since we were little we love to eat and cook together and play alot and talk alot.just last year she moved to another country coz shes getting married there .but still we are bestfriends we talk online .but now its kinda we talk less coz she has a family now.but its still nice of havin her company online.:)

Wow that's great! I can understand how it feels when one moves away, I moved across the country from my best friend and I miss her so much but we still talk just not as often. And we try and visit when we can.

i have 2 best friend..epi and lydia. we are being friend since 11 years ago. until now we still keep contact. some times we are do a meeting :) just for talk each other, or lunch together. distance not the problem for us like u.. but time is a distance for us. we are really have a little time to meet cause every one have a diffrent job so we can't often meet
